Mas Que Nada

Aloha everyone!
So this is what, my third month of blogging? And I want to say a HUGE thankyou, (even huger than this Viktor & Rolf Fall 09 Coat- Poncho- Thing:
Though of course I easily forgave them once I saw this chiffron tailored and outrageous beauty:
And once I quickly "borrowed" some of their new perfume which I found at a friends house, and which was lodged away in some deep dark corner (matrix style) and looking incredibly unloved. *glares*
Because you know how some perfumes are so... 'you'?
They have the nifty touch, others have the shifty touch where they smell adorable from the bottle but on you its like 'phwoar how much for what now?'
Hang on, I'm warbling and getting distracted. Kk, so here's a great big thankyou to my followers so far who have decided to support me in my world domination *mwahhaaaa shifty eyes*
Very... Transformers/ Unicron style world take over *mwahaha is repeated*. I still know the lyrics to that actually (see a few posts ago), and they pop into my head EVERY physics lesson. I think my teacher caught on I hadn't actually revised for the test, but maybe that was why he was so ecstatic when he told me my test score (O.K, wow, I'm officially senile- I've just forgotten my percentage. Oh dear...but I think it was in the 80s? And before you all judge me, can I point out the majority of my class got in the 60s or 70s so har har judgers your judging is foiled!) Oh, and obviously I'm not really intending to buy a white cat and stroke it slyly while you can only see the back of my chair and then I spin round all Dr. Evilish declaring war on any fashion designer who doesn't give me those oh so fine Miu Miu heels... (Translated from Mamie-ish into English: Thankyou so so so so much for all the comments, mail, and followers!)

In other news PHOTO UPDATE wooo *gets the party poppers and popcorn*.
And now I'm craving popcorn which means after this new post, I'm going to have to pause my lovely Michael Bublé music, climb out of my obscenely comfy bed, and make myself some popcorn. (I have to satisfy my cravings ok! :( teehee)
I think I may need to control my ramblings. I guess it's that 'Easter is coming, chocolate is coming, school holidays are coming' combined with the MENTAL stress of 'Things I'm doing in the Easter Holidays: revision, art, revision, art, some more art, and some more revision', so I really do apologise, and I really do need to get on with it so here's the outfit:
It's pretty bland, sure, but I wasn't in the mood for a fresh, drapey, or original look. I just wanted to do a bit of Cheryl- hence the heels, super skinny black jeans, and military shaped but colourful jacket. The McQueen scarf is for the contrast of the bright white with the other dark pieces (and also because I'm still head over heels in love with it and it's my pride and joy).

So I'm gonna leave you there...
Mucho amor, amigos!

Copy cat, copy cat where have you been?- I've been to London to visit McQueen

Actually I noticed this quite a long time ago when I was adoring, falling in love with, and needing so that I could breathe at last, all the Spring/ Summer beauties, but I'm too much of an idiot and I COMPLETELY forgot woopsie....

 Alexander McQueen Fall 2009   /   Armani PrivĂ© S/S 2010
Popping the same bubbles much? Ok, so Armani have taken on a more elegant and swift theme, but generally it's the same idea.
Alexander McQueen Spring 2009 /  Karl Lagerfeld S/S 2009
Karl actually had some shapes even more similar to McQueen's, but I like this dress, and it had similar-shaped patterns... *grins* Anyhow.. notice the similarity?

Alexander McQueen (collection unknown sorry...) / Givenchy Spring 2010 RTW
Come on... you have to see the connection? Freakishly similar right?

So... those are some examples. There are more, but I'm in a bit of a hurry (art art art as usual- seriously my friends don't even say 'What you up to?' (or even wuu2) anymore. :( My life is too typical. Its turned into the tragic disaster of either art, or tidying my room due to my Mum's OCD madness and my inability to keep things in ORDER.)
So see ya!

I got chills, they're multiplyin'

So here I am, as usual I should be doing some art, or history, or physics. (I have a physics test tomorrow but I've chosen to learn the lyrics to the 80's Transformers them tune rather than about transformers the electric things (yes- I said electric things hahaha, I really am going to fail this test wah))

Once I learnt the lyrics, I moved on to clothes, because really, who else just can't help themselves? Those BEAUTIFUL pieces of cloth, those LUSCIOUS items. Ahh, I want more, more, MORE I say!
I am practically on the verge of a tantrum- I'm such a child it's ridiculous- but I just want all of these stunning things- (while listening to the classic 'You're The One That I Want' from Greece, mwahhaaa, perfect soundtrack for when looking at yummy clothes?)-
Alexander McQueen- Denim Leather Biker Jacket. (I had a heart attack when I saw this gorgeous thing- *spoiled brat steps in* I WANT I WANT NOW NOW NOW har harr)
Helmut Lang- Crackled Leather Jacket. (I will ALWAYS love HL's draped jackets, and this one is just one huge bombshell. Absolutely stunning- chic, casual, simple, wow much? My eyes cannot literally take this- it's so amazing)
Miu Miu- Embellished Wool-Crepe Skirt (I would find this so tricky to put in an outfit, but its just amazing. Vintage, extreme, bold yet with a neutral palette, ahh bliss (beyond Rubicon Mango juice I can assure you))
Alexander McQueen- Military Lace-Up Faithful Bootie (Ok, so picture me at this point during my scavenger hunt on the verge of TEARS! I tell you, I'm completely obsessed. I literally have chills)
Gucci- Horsebit Buckle Belt & Bamboo Large Top Handle Bag (So I've been trying to convince my Mum to buy the bag (aka "borrow" it from her, mwahha!) but she won't budge. Grr, I need that beautiful thing. And the belt? Classy, elegant, stylish, GIMMEEEEEE)
Mark Fast (sorry for the poor quality image but how cute is that skirt? There's also a black one available... Mark Fast is this new designer who specialises in knitting.. It's all very exciting and gorgeous, though I have to say some of his stuff is wayyy too revealing- I'd even be scared to wear this skirt!)

So thats my 'You're the one that I want' list for now (though of course it gets updated with EVERY internet visit- aka. I'm either a loser or a nerd :( wahhh) hahaa...
I'll leave you with the song itself, taaa.
B= boy/ Danny
G=Girl/Sandy
B: both

G: Tell me about it stud!

B: I got chills.
They're multiplyin'.
And I'm losin' control.
'Cause the power
you're supplyin',
it's electrifyin'!

G: You better shape up,
'cause I need a man
and my heart is set on you.
You better shape up;
you better understand
to my heart I must be true.

B: Nothin' left, nothin' left for me to do.

Both: You're the one that I want.
(you are the one i want), o,o, oo, honey.
The one that I want.
(you are the one i want want), o,o,oo, honey.
The one that I want
(you are the one i want want), o,o, ooooo
The one I need.
Oh, yes indeed.

G: If you're filled
with affection
you're too shy to convey,
meditate in my direction.
Feel your way.

B: I better shape up,
'cause you need a man
G: i need a man
who can keep me satisfied.
B: I better shape up
if I'm gonna prove
G: you better prove
that my faith is justified.

B:Are you sure?
Both:Yes, I'm sure down deep inside.

You're the one that I want.
(you are the one i want want), o, o, oo, honey.
The one that I want.
(you are the one i want want), o,o,oo, honey.
The one that I want
(you are the one i want),o, o, oo
The one I need.
Oh, yes indeed.

format it

Hellooo everyone!! Wow, I'm so sorry I've neglected this blog for so long but (I hope I don't bore you with tedious details) but I've been playing the rold of Voldemort in the Mysterious Ticking Noise...
For those who don't know it:
(It turns out that helping some friends and offering to fill in for those selfish people who BACK OUT last minute from the talent show at my school *cough cough* leaves me with the name 'Voldy' forever. Bah Humbug is appropriate here, yes?)
In other news, I'm going lyric crazy and finally getting round to learning the 'Technologic' by Daft Punk lyrics. (10 lines in woo). Also, I'm actually supposed to be tidying my room right now- my Mum got back from America this morning, had a fit when she saw my room, and so now I'm writing this post on my secretly stolen laptop hehe. (not literally stolen- it's just supposed to be downstairs with my Mum haha).

Ok so in more serious bee's knees style (I only discovered what that meant a few days ago! I thought it actually meant the knees, belonging to the buzzing bees! achh!), while I've been busy attempting to catch up on art, attending show rehearsals, and altogether being very lazy, I decided to take a snapshot of an outfit.
I wanted something edgy- so I combined designer (the Alexander Mcqueen scarf), vintage (the denim waistcoat), girly (pearls and lace both from Forever 21 in America), and chic, (the shoes from Irregular Choice and silk shorts from Forever 21). As you've probably figured, I fell in love with Forever 21 when I recently went to Floorrrida baby (mmm sun- seems so distant now in dreary London). Cheap trends? What's not to like?!
OK, so my body shape looks a little demented in the first photo- and the quality is not so great- but its a bit tricky when you have to put the camera on self timer! *note to self- next time ring a friend! (aka. school nights are not appropriate so do some work silly Mamie)* tee hee
I played around with the colours of the background on photoshop so the clothes would be more catchy. I think I got a little caught up in it eh?? Especially as- well, you should of seen my room afterwards! Just getting to the bottom of the pile in my wardrobe was a nightmare, and the reason why I'm sneakily on my laptop now :( har har har.

So now I've rambled on, let's talk fashion? Numero uno. I want to get this straight- people are considering clogs might come back? I'm sorry but Karl Lagerfeld- as much as I love you, NO NO NO! I know this is old news but it's still a topic of discussion, and I want to CHANGE that topic A.S.A.P. Clogs make me think of hillbillies in the mountains with goats, cheese, and yodelling (don't ask)!
Chanel Spring/ Summer 2010
As beautiful as those legs are, boo hoo the clogs! Please, please no more!
And then onto numero dos- capes are back WOO and NAI.
Woo because I think they are gorgeous- come on that ^ so works... loose, easy, striking, brilliant yeah? So capes ponchos and all that- it works. However, its a Nai 'cos I don't really like to go back to my old days of fashion- I try and avoid anything I wore between the ages of 7 and 10. Eek...
Also, I'm not really so keen on a few of the capes on the Fall 2010 catwalks-
Alexander Wang Fall 2010    /       Marc Jacobs Fall 2010
Sorry but these are just too plain and boring for me. They have a much too heavy feel, and of course capes are not exactly flattering- I find these two push the boundaries of unflattering to a whole new extreme.
(Sorry again dear Alexander and Marc- I do love most of your creations)
Talking of trends- I hear Red Velvet is a new hit (mmm Hummingbird cupcakes...)

Ok fine, maybe not that kind of red velvet, but check out style.com- they have a whole article about the hype, with a glorious array of pictures, and there is really no point in me just taking their pictures so enjoy xD
And the last thing about trends I must pester you about- GLOVES. OK fiinne, so they aren't officially a trend, but (in London) we are on the verge of spring- that time when it's still chilly but you don't want to get out your coats because you have that etching feeling where you think you look like an eskimo? (ok just me then hahah oops).  Actually we should be experiencing spring now but the pesky weather is och aye so cold :(
I want to make it clear- I do not mean big, huge, fluffy, 'ooh I need to keep warm gloves', instead, I'm talking about those lovely thin vintage (or even slightly less thin, cashmere) slip-ons that do not prevent you in using your hands for the simplest of tasks. (You know? When you have gloves on and you have to take them off because you cant undo something or press the keys on your phone or any other annoying task and that's when you realise you want some fingerless gloves but you don't actually have any and you also realise you will probably never get round to buying a pair?)
(As a summary) I'm thinking of-

So there is a lot more I would LOVE to say- but I'm afraid it's late (ok- wow I just looked at the clock and yes it's extremely late I am such an idiot)- and I really really really have to go to bed!
So good night!
Taaa. (I'll leave you with some snappy Daft Punk)
(Actually that's an idea- perhaps I should take inspiration for my next photo from that video? It's pretty insane, and J'adore insane hahaa)
