So, yeah, I contribute now..

I saw a tweet recently that offered something exciting. I grabbed the opportunity and I am now very happy to be working with Pillow Magazine; an online magazine filled with trendy news and interesting reviews. It is an unpaid job but it is experience and exposure none the less.

As a contributor to Pillow Magazine, I have the advantage of obtaining special press-invites and tickets, as offered by my boss, the editor. For example, I can get free tickets to Benicàssim this summer if I cover it as a reporter. Anyway, it's all exciting stuff. Here's what I wrote about Benicàssim for Pillow Magazine;

We at Pillow Magazine just love a good music festival in the summer. We're also big enthusiasts for sun-filled holidays where we can lounge in our bikinis on beaches. The big question is; what if, you could get both?

Tan by day, party by night. This, ladies and gentlemen, would be called Festival International de Benicàssim (FIB); the place to head to this month.

On the 18th July, thousands of music lovers will gather on the beaches of Benicàssim in Spain to enjoy the spirit of sun, sand and singing along to La Roux till we have no voice left to sing with.
With an eclectic range of music from Indie band 'Everything Everything' to Dizzee Rascal's grime and garage to the drum and bass provided by 'Rudimental', this festival offers something for everyone. You'll most definitely catch us at the Kaiser Chiefs, AlunaGeorge, Skream and Arctic Monkeys which all, at one point or another, have been at the top of the playlist.

As an added bonus, your ticket to Benicàssim includes eight days of camping so that you can arrive early or delay your departure. Perhaps you want to make the most of your flight to this beautiful holiday destination or perhaps you just fancy a festival warm up and an early start on that tan?

If you're wary about camping, Benicàssim and many nearby areas are equipped for tourism with a range of hostels and hotels. Camping, however, offers a more authentic, if messy, festival experience; certainly an experience that is not to be missed!

Tickets are available for only £150. Since that includes a water park, beach, camping spot, and four nights of brilliant music- all in walking distance of each other- it's totally, utterly and completely worth it. So, see you in Spain soon?

For Pillow Magazine I have to be a little more professional and a little less personal, but now I'm back over here I think it's time to scream and shout my enthusiasm.

Okay, so we (that is, my friend Bex and I), are heading (hopefully) to SPAIN very soon for a free festival where I finally get to hear 'Waiting All Night' feat Ella Eyre by Rudimental live (it has been on repeat for the past week). I will dance and sing till I can dance and sing no more to Rudimental, Skream, Benny Bennasi Everything Everything, La Roux, Kaiser Chiefs, Toddla T and Aluna George.

Perhaps most important of all, I will be celebrating turning nineteen on 20th July. Perhaps most ineresting of all, FIB started nineteen summers ago in 1994. I will therefore be turning nineteen on the same day as the festival. Cool, eh?

If I am honest, in general the line-up is a bit iffy because I only know a few acts. However, the acts that I do know, I love, so I'm still excited and still pumped. I would get excited about tanning but after my recent three months in Asia, I have finally realised and accepted that I do not tan. It will never happen.
